New Junior Leagues and Competitions Chair

Congratulations to Beth Alvey, who has been appointed the new Chair of the Junior Leagues and Competitions Committee.

Beth is currently involved with Deeside Ramblers Hockey Club as a Level 2 Hockey Coach and Youth Coordinator.  As well having been Club Captain and Welfare Officer.

In addition, she is involved with the West Cheshire County Academy as a Coach and Co-ordinator.

Beth has coached at England Hockey's Junior Regional Performance Centres so brings a great deal of experience to the role.

Thanks go to Rebecca Stamper, the retiring Chair who steered the Junior committee through its first 2 years and helped advise the EH  8 Area Junior Working group on regulations and tiers.

Congratulations also go to Lou Nash, who was successful in securing the role of Junior League and  Competitions Coordinator. Lou is also from Deeside Ramblers, where she plays and volunteers with various club activities. When she's not on the pitch herself, she can usually be found on the sidelines, cheering on her two sons, who are both keen hockey players.

Lou's role is to identify and coordinate all the different sections of Junior hockey within the North West region, including Clubs, Schools and Counties. Thereby having a central point of contact for information.
