North West Hockey invites nominations and expressions of interest for roles before the AGM.

North West Hockey invites nominations and expressions of interest for a number of key roles ahead of the AGM on 16th July 2026.

We have a number of opportunities for to join the NWH Board and Committee’s and welcome Expression of Interest from anyone involved in hockey in the North West who would like to help lead, shape, develop and run the sport.

Nominations are now open for roles that are elected by members and we are also inviting EOI’s for other ways to get involved and support us to develop, promote and grow hockey across the North West.

Call for nominations for elected roles:

  • Chair of the Board
  • Finance Director
  • Chair - Adult League and Competitions Committee
  • Chair – Junior League and Competitions Committee
  • Chair – Masters Committee

Call for expressions of interest for appointed roles:

  • Chair – Appeals panel
  • Assistant Area Disciplinary Administrators (x 2 – one male one female)
  • And any general expressions of interest to get involved in NW Hockey

These roles drive organisation, development, and delivery of hockey across Cheshire, Lancashire, Cumbria, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.

Nominations and Expressions of Interest (EOI's) are welcomed from across the North West Hockey Clubs and a balance of people from across all types of clubs, all main geographic areas to and reflect the diversity as part of our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

Key dates

  • 21 June 2026: Final deadline for nominations / expressions of interest to be submitted to be received by the Company and N&R Committee.
  • By 1st July 2026: NW Nominations and Remuneration Committee to review  nominations / expressions of interest and prepare the schedule of nominees for election and or appointment.
  • 2nd to 15th July 2026: Online Ballot for elected roles. Details will be sent to eligible member organisations of NW Hockey and legacy members
  • 16thJuly 2026 at 7.30pm: 2026 AGM (online)

Other volunteer opportunities

North West Hockey will be seeking expressions of interest for a range of other vacant or additional volunteer roles across all our committees over the next few weeks. These roles are important to the running of the organisation, and anyone who feels they can contribute is encouraged to make contact with us.
