North West Strategy

At our recent Club's Forums held at Timperley HC and Vale of Lune RFC, NW Hockey launched their new strategy for the next few years. As ever it was fantastic to meet with our clubs and hear you inputs and ideas and continued support for promoting, developing and growing hockey across the North West.

Please see attached North West Hockey Strategy Presentation (pdf format) as shared and discussed at the recent Winter 2025 Club Forums and thank you for your input and engagement at the Forums.

Whilst our NW volunteer teams are super busy supporting adult and junior competitions, officiating and masters hockey we will be working on turning the strategy in the actions plans needed to delivery our 2025-26 priorities and look forward to the support and input from clubs to taking many of these initiatives forward.

We've a busy few months ahead in the NW and will be sharing details on:

  • Young Umpiring development opportunities at In2Hockey County and NW Area Finals tournaments
  • Launching our new NW Hockey Awards
  • Developing our new NW Hockey Bursary and Grant Funds to support the growth and development of our sport
  • Preparing for our AGM's and appointment and election of new volunteer roles across all our activities including: Adult and Juniors, officiating and masters

We hope that club's take time as part of their own planning to review the NW strategy and our strategic framework as together we will and can make a real difference to the sport.
