North West State School Hockey Tournament 2024

Thursday 21^st May saw 18 teams from across the state schools in the North West gather for the first ever championship. The anticipation was high and the festival atmosphere with wristbands and music saw the teams eagerly awaiting their matches.

The hotly contested 7aside under 14 tournaments for both boys and girls continued throughout the afternoon, with teams represented from Bramhall, Cowley, Lytham St Annes, Sale, Wellington, Bishop Heber, Calday, Wirral, Madeley, Sandbach Boys, Tytherington and Knutsford.

A big thanks to our volunteer umpires for keeping everyone on track, along with the teachers for their time and effort preparing teams. The players were all superb and showed a great amount of skill and persistence. 

Eventual top three in the girls tournament were:

1^st Place - Cowley International College

2^nd Place - Sale Grammar School

3^rd Place - Bishop Heber High School

The boys tournament:

1^st Place - Calday Grange Grammar School

2^nd Place - Wirral Grammar School

3^rd Place - Madeley School
