NW take on Scotland and Yorkshire North East

April 15/16^th  saw NW Masters Ladies  travel to Edinburgh (O35/O40/)45) and Durham/Newcastle (O50/O55/O60) to play in a tri-tournament against the Scottish National Team and our friends from Yorkshire North East. 

Results were:

O35 beat Scotland 2-0, drew NE 1-1 on the Saturday and beat Scotland 1-0 and drew NE 1-1 again on the Sunday

O40 – Beat Scotland 3-1 and NE 2-1 on the Saturday and drew Scotland 1-1 but lost NE 3-0 on the Sunday (complete exhaustion due to no subs was reported)

O45 – Lost 2-1 to Scotland and 3-0 to NE on the Saturday, lost 3-0 to Scotland and 1-0 to NE on Sunday

O50 – Lost 2-1 to Scotland and beat NE 1-0 on the Saturday, lost 2-0 to Scotland and NE on the Sunday

O55 – Lost 1-0 to Scotland and beat NE 2-0 on the Saturday, lost 4-0 to Scotland and 1-0 to NE on the Sunday

O60 – Lost 2-1 to Scotland , beat NE 2-1 on the Saturday, lost 4-1 to Scotland and beat NE 2-1 on the Sunday

A very positive weekend given the travelling everyone did to get there.  Squads are now being finalised for the regional competitions to be held in May/June.

The NW500 is going ahead as last year plus a one day celebration of Masters hockey on Saturday 29^th April at Timperley HC.
